Eclipse was first developed by HPA's hop breeding program in 2004. Its ancestry can be traced as far back as 1915 and its development is a result of the successful cross pollination of varieties such as Fuggle, Brewer's Gold, Comet and Pride of Ringwood. This has resulted in the development of another uniquely Australian Flavour hop which HPA are well known for growing.

Eclipse produces big punchy hop flavours of sweet mandarin, zesty citrus peel and fresh pine needles. This is perfect for hoppy and fruity beer styles such as NEIPAs, IPAs and Pale ales. Alternatively, it can be used sparingly to make refreshing well-balanced ales.
